To meet the needs of the growing population in the Middle East, healthcare organisations are increasingly turning to IT solutions to improve reach and delivery of care for patients, to develop solutions to guide health planning and to improve efficiency in processing. In a sector of world class projects, this award will go to the project that has delivered the greatest benefit to patients and healthcare professionals.
The Middle East now rests on the cutting edge of the hospitality sector, offering not only the finest hotels, but also some of the most ambitious resorts and inclusive hospitality offerings anywhere in the world, with representation from every leading hotel chain, as well as top chefs and hospitality providers – all of whom are using technology to stay ahead of the game. The hospitality operator that has achieved this to a level beyond that of its peers will be the recipient of the Hospitality and Tourism Implementation Award.

The Public Sector Service Implementation Award goes to the public sector project that demonstrates the ability to balance the needs of those people it is intended to serve, with the needs of the department, and the effectiveness of the finished project, versus the goals originally set out. Eligible verticals: government departments; civil defence; military; law enforcement, public transport; e-government; and administration.
The Middle East retail sector is undergoing unprecedented growth, and retail and trading establishments are deploying cutting edge solutions to better manage supply chains, improve staff efficiency, and gain a better insight into customer behaviour and practices. This award recognises the best of these efforts, and the impact they have had upon staff and customers.
This award recognizes the role played by IT service providers in supporting IT organizations with the timely provision of services including application hosting, public and hybrid cloud, managed services, managed security storage and disaster recovery.
Systems integrators not only deliver huge multi-vendor projects on time and on budget, but also ensure that the end-user organisation gets the technology it needs not just for today but also tomorrow. The Systems Integrator of the Year award goes to the enterprise systems integrator that can demonstrate that it places the client’s needs before its own and delivers above and beyond the call of duty.
The young IT Professional of the Year award will recognise the achievements of a young person working in the IT industry in the region today. The judges will consider academic and professional certifications, involvement in innovative projects, commitment to further development and examples of professional achievements. Young IT professionals (under 35) may nominate themselves, or organisations can choose to nominate members of their staff that stand out as young achievers.
