As well as creative design elements and methods used, innovations in production can be used as supporting evidence where they may have enhanced the final product. The winning entry will have captured a topic or significant industry figure in a unique way, and details of how the cover was conceptualized and executed should be included in the submission.

Consumer Cover of the Year

The Consumer Cover of the Year will be awarded to a memorable magazine cover that stands out for originality and impact. As well as creative design elements and methods used, innovations in production can be used as supporting evidence where they may have enhanced the final product. Details of an intriguing subject or highly sought celebrity that features on the cover should be supported with details of how the cover was secured and captured.

Editorial Video of the Year - Business

Editorial Video of the Year - Business image
The award for Editorial Video of the Year - Business will go to a video or video series that has used engaging and captivating techniques to create an enduring and impactful video presence for the brand. The winning entry will have enhanced the brand’s reach and market position considerably by creating a compelling production that appeals to its audience. The video should have taken consideration of the audience and appealed from a perspective of creating awareness for it’s specific audience of industry professionals. Production costs are not of consequence as judges will be looking for substance as well as style, so nominations are welcome from high-end productions to videos shot on a mobile phone alike.

Editorial Video of the Year - Consumer

The award for Editorial Video of the Year will go to a video or video series that has used engaging and captivating techniques to create an enduring and impactful video presence for the brand. The impact that the video has had on consumers through comments, views and shares should be included in submissions. The winning entry will have enhanced the brand’s reach and market position considerably by creating a compelling production that appeals to its audience. Production costs will not be a factor in judging so nominations are welcome from the full range of video productions – from high-end shoots to videos shot on a mobile phone alike.

Commercial Video of the Year - Business

Commercial Video of the Year - Business image
The award for Commercial Video of the Year – Business will go to a production that was made in house on behalf of a client on a B2B brand. The video will be able to demonstrate technical and creative excellence as well as communicate the message / information that the client had, clearly to its intended target audience. Details of the client’s brief, budget and production timelines should be included in the submission to support the nomination as well as information on how the final product was used and viewership figures where possible. The impact that the video has had on the intended B2B audience, should be evident in the submission in the form of views, comments and shares figures against expectations prior to first airing.

Commercial Video of the Year - Consumer

The award for Commercial Video of the Year - Consumer will go to a production that was made in house on behalf of a client for a consumer facing title. The video will be able to demonstrate technical and creative excellence as well as communicate the message / information that the client had, clearly to its intended target audience. Details of the client’s brief, budget and production timelines should be included in the submission to support the nomination as well as information on how the final product was used and viewership figures where possible. The impact that the video has had on its target audience should be evident in the submission in the form of views, comments and shares figures against expectations prior to first airing.

Photo Shoot of the Year - People

The People Photo Shoot of the Year will go to a team that has used their subject thoughtfully to create a memorable page layout or feature. The photo shoot will have presented its subject in a striking manner that has resonated with readers - whether it is a shoot with the most in demand celebrity, a local industry leader or a group of the most in vogue influencers. Nominations should also demonstrate how the photo shoot was effectively used and marketed on social media channels and the audience it reached.

Still Life / Product Photo Shoot of the Year

The Still Life / Product Photo Shoot of the Year will go to a shoot that can clearly demonstrate creativity, ingenuity and innovation to bring life to inanimate objects as its subject. Nominations are welcome from a wide range of fields, including product shoots, F&B layouts, site visits and location shoots. Submissions should also be able to demonstrate how the photo shoot was effectively used on social media channels and the audience it reached.

Feature / Interview of the Year

Feature / Interview of the Year image
This award will go to the writer or team that has produced the standout feature or interview of 2022, exhibiting insightful, entertaining and captivating material in a print, digital and / or video platform. In addition to the feature itself, nominations should include background information such as the extent of research undertaken, challenges and competition to secure the interview and narrative on the significance of the feature / interview to the intended audience.

News Story of the Year

News Story of the Year image
The award for News Story of the Year will go to an individual who has delivered a thought provoking, informative and thorough report on a significant news event. Open to entries from brands covering any audience, examples of the Best News Story of the Year could range from an in-depth geo-political report; breaking entertainment news or an exclusive industry specific expose.

Podcast of the Year

Podcast of the Year image
The Podcast of the Year will go to a brand that has produced an insightful, entertaining and informative one off podcast or series that has evoked a strong positive reaction from its intended audience. Details of choice of topics, collaborators, USPs and innovations should be put forward in submissions, along with narrative on why the podcast platform presented the most effective vehicle for the story to be told or the series to be aired.

Industry Leader or Celebrity Involvement with Brand of the Year

Industry Leader or Celebrity Involvement with Brand of the Year image
The Industry Leader / Celebrity Collaboration of the Year will go to an event, interview, project or series which successfully collaborated with an industry leader or celebrity and maximized the partnership to reach the largest audience possible. This award recognises a brand or project that has aligned with a high profile public figure and utilized the collaboration to its full potential across all platforms. The social media footprint of the partnership should therefore be detailed in the submission to demonstrate the audience reached. The submission should include details of the project, how the collaboration came about, the objectives and any statistics which show exceptional social reach from the partnership. Links and pdfs to the editorial as well as pictures chronicling the collaboration should also be included within supporting material.

ITP Brand Collaboration of the Year

ITP Brand Collaboration of the Year image
The ITP Brand Collaboration of the Year will be awarded for a successful project that two or more brands within the company have effectively worked on together. Evidence of how best practices and knowledge were shared across teams should be included within submissions, as well as how each brand’s identity and values were maintained and how they worked together to enhance the overall project.

Awards of the Year

Awards of the Year image
The Awards Event of the Year will go to an event that showcases exceptional planning and execution. Judged on innovation, success and creativity of the event plus evidence of optimal leverage of the link between the publication(s) and the awards brands. Nominations should include evidence of original activations, audience engagement, WOW moments, sponsor expectations being surpassed and the legacy that the awards have left for the brand. The social media reach and how well the event hashtag performed is also a key factor to include in submissions.

Commercial Campaign of the Year

The Commercial Campaign Award will go to a commercial deal that successfully delivered and over exceeded a clients’ brief and expectations with “out of the box” solutions and creative execution. Examples may include deals that have successfully used multiple platforms (print, digital, social, video) to deliver a client’s message; employed innovative ways of using established routes to market and / or utilized a variety of brands to create a campaign for the client that has delivered evidential ROI.

Innovation of the Year Award

Innovation of the Year Award image
The Innovation Award will go to a brand, project or individual that exhibited original and imaginative thought and execution. Submissions can come from a company-wide or brand focused innovation that may have improved company efficiency, reached unchartered audiences or achieved commercial success through inventive delivery. Evidence of what made the innovation stant out and demonstration of measured results would be beneficial within supporting documents for this category.

Editorial Person of the Year

The Editorial Person of the Year will go to an individual that has, above all, delivered consistently exceptional content throughout the year. This award will be judged on evidence of inspiring editorial leadership, a clear understanding of the nominee’s brand needs and a commitment to reach new heights. The Editorial Person of the Year will be a champion of new media and be committed to increase their brand’s audience through traditional and innovative mediums.

Designer of the Year

This award will go to a designer that can show a body of work throughout the year that demonstrates the highest standards of creativity, originality and innovation. Whether working on a specific brand that they have helped to mould into a market leading product or responding to a brief with imaginative vigor, the Designer of the Year will have an impressive, extensive and distinct portfolio.

Sales Person of the Year

The Sales Person of the Year will go to an outstanding individual that has stood out above the rest and delivered consistently high sales figures in challenging market conditions. This award will be judged on the nominee’s professional attitude, working relationships, management and performance as well as their ability and enthusiasm to embrace new mediums to offer clients multiple routes to market.

Events Person of the Year

The Events Person of the Year will have exhibited a passion for events throughout the year and will have consistently delivered guest experiences that have wowed audiences. A clear track record of working effectively with key stakeholders is a must for the Events Person of the Year, in addition to possessing a can do attitude and mastering the skill to multi task.

Digital Development Person of the Year

The Digital Development Person of the Year will go to an individual that has shown expertise in their field throughout the year, regularly completing projects ahead of schedule and above expectations. Nominees should be able to exhibit how they have worked effectively with different departments to ensure that digital campaigns are delivered, new websites are launched and operating systems are improved in line with the company’s vision to pioneer and excel digital media offerings in the region.

Video Person of the Year

The Video Person of the Year will be an inventive, experimental and skilled individual who constantly strives to create unique content, whether in audio, visual or editing roles. Submissions should give evidence of versatility in being able to create excellent video content, whether for a luxury brand or an industry specific title. The videographer’s 2022 body of work should show constant creativity and production of the highest order. Submissions detailing the most accomplished shoots that they have been involved in should be accompanied by links to their work throughout 2022.

Photo Person of the Year

The Photo Person of the Year will be a creative, hard-working and innovative individual who constantly strives for the best shot. Versatile, the Photo Person of the Year will be equally comfortable in shoots with celebrities, product shoots and capturing unique moments on location and event jobs. The category is open to both photographers behind the lens and colleagues in the picture desk. Submissions should give evidence of being able to get the most from their subjects and creating images that live long in the memory. Submissions detailing the most accomplished shoots that they have worked on should be accompanied by extensive examples of their work throughout 2022.

Circulation Person of the Year

This award recognizes the circulation or distribution executive that has ably managed the successful circulation of their brand(s) and ensured the product reaches its target audience smoothly and promptly. The Circulation Person of the Year will be someone who can demonstrate great coordination abilities, a problem solving attitude and a deadline focused work ethic. Supporting evidence can include testimonials, details of challenging circulation /distribution obstacles navigated and /or innovations that have increased the departments’ efficiencies.

Production Person of the Year

The Production Person of the Year will be a schedule-driven individual that has the unique ability to keep plates spinning, whilst coolly coordinating with several stakeholders to ensure production deadlines are consistently met. Demonstrations of how challenging schedules are juggled and evidence of high quality final output should be within the makeup of submissions for this award. The award is open to both print and digital production teams. Supporting material may include testimonials, evidence of prolonged success in their role and / or details of special production feats that have displayed innovation and creativity.

Procurement Person of the Year

The Procurement Person of the Year will be someone who has sourced reliable suppliers, reduced costs and coordinated supplier payments with colleagues efficiently throughout the year. This award recognizes a prudent attitude to company spending, while ensuring standards of suppliers are kept at an elite level. Evidence to support submissions may include details of specific negotiations, unusual requirements successfully acquired and improvements to service levels.

Finance Person of the Year

This award will go to the finance or credit control professional that consistently and diligently works to make the financial cogs of the company grind smoothly. Often a thankless task, these vital roles in ITP’s operations ensure that clients’ ledgers are settled, suppliers are paid to schedule and employees receive their salaries on time. The Finance Person of the Year will be a shining example of someone who performs these duties, while maintaining a positive outlook and works collaboratively with stakeholders across the business. Supporting material for this award may include testimonials and / or details of special projects they have been involved in outside of their normal scope of work.

HR Person of the Year

An expanding and ever important department, the HR Person of the Year will have had a huge impact on the company in the last 12 months by having identified and recruited excellent talent, facilitated smooth inductions and/or implemented positive change to the working environment at ITP for all. This award will go to someone who has shown the hard working, calm, amiable and professional attributes befitting HR and have regularly acted as ambassadors and positive role models in the office. Supporting evidence could include testimonials, details of recruitment innovations employed, company initiatives that have benefitted employee wellbeing and/or processes that have been designed to improve efficiencies, reduce costs or both.

IT Person of the Year

This award will go to someone who can demonstrate deep technical knowledge of cutting edge, as well as well-established IT products. Elevating the standards of IT in the company, the IT Person of the Year may have routinely supported others to perform their jobs efficiently, helped to create or improve a digital offering for clients, or has contributed to a project to improve company processes or operating systems. Evidence of supporting material may include testimonials from colleagues, details of projects and how they were successfully executed and / or innovations that have improved working practices.

Admin Person of the Year

The people who keep the overall office functioning smoothly, the Admin Person of the Year is a good all-rounder. Popular with colleagues, the winner of this award is always willing to help and regularly goes above and beyond to do so. Facilitating travel plans, coordinating deliveries, greeting visitors and generally making working life easier, the Admin Person of the Year will have had a positive impact – whether small or large - on the output of every ITP employee. Testimonials and examples of excelling in a particular task or project could be amongst supporting materials for this award.

Driver of the Year

The Driver of the Year Award will go to a hardworking and dedicated individual who is as reliable as they are professional. Always representing ITP in the best possible light when out and about in Dubai, the Driver of the Year diligently goes about their deliveries or collections with urgency and care. Facilities Person of the Year

This award will honour an individual who has played a key role in making sure the ITP office runs smoothly every day by carrying out their duties with reliability, passion and effectiveness. Submissions should show how the individual has excelled in their position making them an invaluable employee and how their positivity and professionalism also makes them an outstanding ambassador of the company. This category is open to employees from HSE, technicians, housekeeping and catering teams. Supporting material with submissions may include testimonials from colleagues, efforts to broaden skillsets and examples of having gone beyond the call of duty for the company.

Team of the Year

The Team of the Year will go to a team with a regular output of outstanding projects that have shown innovation, excellence and creativity, whilst over delivering on objectives and commercial ambitions. Submissions should give evidence of consistently high quality work that has been achieved by exhibiting the best values of team work and cooperation.

The Outstanding Achievement Award will go to an individual who has made a special contribution to ITP Media Group’s success by not only excelling in their role, but by exhibiting admirable values, ethics and effort to contribute to a better overall work experience. The winner of the Outstanding Achievement Award will be able to point to a track record of going the extra mile, helping colleagues beyond expectations and overcoming challenges with a can do attitude and a smile on their face.
