The award for Consultancy of the Year will go to the company that can demonstrate the best record of delivering innovative, original and consistent expertise on projects over the past 12 months.

The Residential Project of the Year will go to the project that has added significantly to it's built environment – in terms of the quality of its design, build, its location and its fit with the surrounding area. The bulk of the project needs to have been delivered over the past 12 months and to have been delivered within agreed time and budget constraints.

The Sub-Contractor of the Year Award will go to the company that can demonstrate the best record of progress and delivery for its clients, while maintaining an exemplary health, safety, and environment (HSE) record, and showing signs of commercial strength and growth during the eligibility period.

The award for Commercial Project of the Year will go to the project that makes an important contribution to its surrounds, demonstrates construction best practice and can show how construction techniques and technology have contributed to the project’s success.

The award for Construction Executive of the Year will go to the senior executive who can demonstrate the greatest impact on his or her construction-related business in the past 12 months. The winning executive could be a general manager, managing director, related deputy, or someone from a C suite role. Their company may be operating in any part of the construction chain, from suppliers through sub-contractors, consultants and main contractors.

The award for Contractor of the Year will go to the company that can demonstrate the best record of progress and delivery for its clients, while maintaining an exemplary HSE record and showing signs of commercial strength and growth over the past 12 months.

The award for Engineer of the Year will go to the engineer who can demonstrate the greatest impact on his or her construction-related business in the past 12 months. The winning engineer could be working in any part of the construction chain, from suppliers through sub-contractors, consultants and main contractors.

This category is open for any hospitality or tourism related project that has been completed within the last 12 months. The award will go to the project that demonstrates construction best practice, can demonstrate an exemplary safety record and met client requirements, while staying on time and on budget.

The award for Project Manager of the Year will go to the project manager who can demonstrate the greatest impact on a project or projects in the past 12 months.

A brand new category at the Construction Week Awards 2019, the award for Sub-Consultancy of the Year will go to the company that can demonstrate how it has added value for its client – developer or consultant – by providing specialised expertise for the project, whilst also delivering on-time, within-budget, and highly HSE-centric work.

The importance of architecture within the built environment cannot be underestimated. In an increasingly urbanized world, architecture has never been so important especially as we adapt to an inevitable changing marketplace and we want to recognize this through a brand new category for the CW Awards 2020. Judges will assess a design that has captured the eye, while also incorporating sustainability aspects. Also the criteria includes the concept, technicality, engineering and complexity across its project pipeline.

Recognising the talented range of interior designers in the region, this accolade will be awarded to the individual or company who stands out from the crowd in terms of spaces, functionality, interior decoration and lighting for its projects and developments. Judges will evaluate materiality, colour, contrast, texture, how it responds to its contextual surrounding, how the design was interpreted to the brief of the client, how it creates a space which is culturally relevant, as well as being unique and contemporary for the built environment.

The award for Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year will go to the company, operating in the construction sector, which can demonstrate the best active CSR programme, one that contributes to the welfare of local communities, to the development of the company’s employees and the enhancement of the company’s reputation. The CSR initiative must have been active in the GCC between September 2019 and September 2020.

The award for HSE Initiative of the Year will go to the company, operating in the construction sector, which has delivered the best health and safety initiative in Qatar. The winning initiative will make a positive contribution to the advance of health and safety consciousness in construction, while also demonstrating clear practical applications and results. The HSE initiative must have been active in the GCC between September 2019 and September 2020

The Rising Star of the Year Award will go to the individual, under the age of 30, who can demonstrate the greatest level of professional development during the eligibility period. The individual’s employer may be operating in any part of Middle east's construction chain, from suppliers through to contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants.

The award for Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award will go to the company, operating in the construction sector, which has delivered the best sustainability initiative in the GCC. The winning initiative will make a positive contribution to the advance of environmental considerations in construction, while also demonstrating clear practical applications. The sustainability initiative must have been active in the GCC between September 2019 and September 2020.
