The award for Construction Executive of the Year will go to the senior executive who can demonstrate the greatest impact on his or her construction-related business in the last 12-month period. The winning executive could be a general manager, managing director, related deputy, or someone from a ‘C’ suite role. Their company may be operating in any part of the construction chain, from suppliers through sub-contractors, consultants and main contractors.
The award for Consultancy of the Year will go to the company that can demonstrate the best record of delivering innovative, original and consistent expertise on projects over the last 12-month period.
The award for Contractor of the Year will go to the company that can demonstrate the best record of progress and delivery for its clients, while maintaining an exemplary HSE record and showing signs of commercial strength and growth over the last 12-month period.
The award for Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year will go to the company, operating in the construction sector, which can demonstrate the best active CSR programme, one that contributes to the welfare of local communities, to the development of the company’s employees and the enhancement of the company’s reputation. The CSR initiative must have been active in the GCC in the last 12-months.
The award for Engineer of the Year will go to the engineer who can demonstrate the greatest impact on his or her construction-related business in the last 12-month period. The winning engineer could be working in any part of the construction chain, from suppliers through sub-contractors, consultants and main contractors.
The award for GCC Developer of the Year will go to the company that can demonstrate the best record of project progress and delivery over the last 12-month period.
The award for Health and Safety Initiative of the Year will go to the company, operating in the construction sector, which has delivered the best health and safety initiative in the GCC. The winning initiative will make a positive contribution to the advance of health and safety consciousness in construction, while also demonstrating clear practical applications and results. The health and safety initiative must have been active in the last 12-months period.
This category is open for any hospitality or tourism related project that has been completed within the last 12 months. The award will go to the project that demonstrates construction best practice, can demonstrate an exemplary safety record and met client requirements, while staying on time and on budget.
The award for Infrastructure Project of the Year will go to the project that makes an important contribution to its surrounds, demonstrates construction best practice and can show how construction techniques and technology have contributed to the project’s success. The award for Project Manager of the Year will go to the project manager who can demonstrate the greatest impact on a project or projects in the last 12-month period.
The award for Sub-Contractor of the Year will go to the company that can demonstrate the best record of progress and delivery for its clients, while maintaining an exemplary HSE record and showing signs of commercial strength and growth over the last 12-month period. The winning entry will be drawn from companies that contribute to the structural completion of building or infrastructure projects.
The award for Sustainability Initiative of the Year will go to the company, operating in the construction sector, which has delivered the best sustainability initiative in the GCC. The winning initiative will make a positive contribution to the advance of environmental considerations in construction, while also demonstrating clear practical applications. The sustainability initiative must have been active in the GCC in the last 12-months.
The award for the Sustainable Project of the Year will go to the project that demonstrates the most significant contribution to sustainable development over the last 12 months. Entries must clearly show how the nominated project has delivered sustainable initiatives or ideas that are making a contribution above and beyond the norm for its type.
The award for Tower Project of the Year will go to the project that demonstrates construction best practice, can demonstrate an exemplary safety record and met client requirements, while staying on time and on budget. The tower should have been structurally completed in the last 12-months.
